Dear Praying Friends and Faithful Supporters,
Thank you for your faithful support to us over the last few years. Time has flown by, and the ministry is growing. January was filled with my family and I spending time visiting a few of our supporting churches, as well as visiting family. I was
able to see my grandpa before he passed away the beginning of February. I am so thankful for the time I was able to spend
with him.
At the beginning of February, we had a bit of a scare with our 10 week old daughter Isabelle as she had a bout in the. hospital with RSV and another virus. We thank God for His healing mercies, and that she recovered well. We spent the rest
of the time preparing for our flight back to Zambia. Of course that was an adventure, as they canceled our one flight and rerouted us in a way that was not doable for the family, so we had to change the tickets to a couple days later. The entire trip was an event though, because none of the tickets were right after that, and every single leg I had to get new tickets. But God brought us safely back to Zambia, and we are adjusting to our ministry and life here.
Since being back, we have had several adventures. First, we had an issue with our main family vehicle where the electrical was severely compromised from rats chewing the wiring. It took a week to get sorted, but we got it back. We
were excited to have the vehicle back and drove to a youth program we help with on Friday afternoon. Unfortunately, while on the way, we had a crazy driver crash into the front of us, and he ripped the bumper clear off our vehicle. Thankfully no one was hurt as the guy also hit four other vehicles and almost ran over two ladies who were selling things on the side of the road before finally coming to a stop. It was quite chaotic, but I am thankful for God’s protection for myself and my family that was in the car with me. I will have to spend the next couple weeks getting all the necessary documents and
everything to get the vehicle sorted. Of course everything like this takes time, and it can turn into a very long period of time very quickly.
The church is doing well and growing. We have had a regular amount of visitors and return visitors, and we are excited for the growth that God is giving. We are going to have a big Easter Sunday meeting, Lord willing, and I am hoping it can be a good time of outreach into the community. Please be in prayer for this. We are also having many families coming with their children which has been a huge blessing and exciting to see. We are currently running out of space for our children’s program, which obviously makes it difficult, but it is a good problem to have. We have decided it would be wise to build a
separate Sunday School building on the property that we can use for our kids programs. It would be a two room building and a huge asset to the ministry here. Unfortunately the cost for a project like this is $20,000 dollars. The church is giving and tithing
and doing what they can, but they are still young and do not quite have the finances for a project like this yet. They are maintaining the property and the other bills; this is just a bigger project that they are not capable of undertaking at this point. Some of the members’ full time salary is just $200-300 per month, which is just barely enough to get by. We do believe this building is vital to the ministry here and the growth of the church. Please pray with us about this financial need we have at this time. Please note, I do not like asking for money and try never to do so, but I wanted to appraise you as our supporters and prayer partners of the need of our ministry here.
Thank you so much for your love and support. Because of you, there is a solid Bible preaching church in Makeni, Zambia!
Serving together with you, Caleb, Abby, Rosalie, Oliver, Henry, and Isabelle Robinson
